This calendar is presented by Suburban Cyclists Unlimited, and lists recreational bicycle events that take place in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, and start within approximately 150 miles of Horsham, Montgomery County, PA. The events listed on this website have been announced by their organizers — SCU does not predict dates based on the prior year's calendar. Two-day events are Saturday-Sunday and three-day events are Friday-Sunday unless marked otherwise. Dates are subject to change - please read the Disclaimer! Sun. March 29, 2026, Hell of Hunterdon, Invertase Brewing, Lambertville, NJ. New start location for 2026. Ride 50 or 73 mi on hilly, mixed surfaces (14-17% dirt, gravel, and hardscrabble). No road markings or SAG, but cue sheets, GPS files, and free use of the Ride With GPS App will be provided to riders. Kermesse Sport

Sat. April 11, 2026, Icicle Metric, Cherry Hill Middle School, Elkton, MD. Ride 13, 24 or 31 mi, or combine routes for up to 68 mi, covering moderately-hilly terrain west and north of Newark, DE. Indoor food stop. White Clay Bicycle Club (WCBC)

Sat. April 18, 2026, Fleche Buffoon, New Hope Solebury Upper Elementary School, New Hope, PA. Ride 62 or 76 mi through Bucks County, PA and Hunterdon County, NJ. These hilly courses are entirely on paved roads. No road markings or SAG, but cue sheets, GPS files, and free use of the Ride With GPS App will be provided to riders. Kermesse Sport

Sat. April 18, 2026, New Holland Bicycle Race & Ride #1, New Holland, PA. Ride 30 or 50+ mi in scenic Lancaster County with 2,000-4,300 ft of climbing.

Sun. April 26, 2026, Temple University Bike Tour, Philadelphia to Ambler, PA, one-way. Ride from Temple University Main Campus to Temple University Ambler, 22 mi. Transportation between campuses will be available; $15 fee, but waived for Temple students.

Ride the SCU Best of Bucks Metric on Saturday, May 9, 2026!


Sun. May 3, 2026, Cinco De Mayo Benefit Ride and Walk, Chester Valley Trail Exton Trailhead, Exton, PA. Ride 25 or 50 mi on-road in scenic Chester County, or ride/walk up to 23-mi round-trip, out-and-back on the paved Chester Valley Trail. Benefits the Pennsylvania Center for Adapted Sports.

Sun. May 3, 2026, Pinelands Gravel, Pinelands Alliance, Southampton, NJ. Ride 55, 64 or 78 mi on relatively-flat terrain, with up to 40% on unpaved roads. "Due to the lack of road signs and poor cell phone signal reliability, use of GPS (downloaded and saved to your device in advance) is essential." Benefits the Pinelands Alliance. Kermesse Sport

Sat. May 9, 2026, Best of Bucks Metric, Delaware Valley University ("DelVal"), Doylestown, PA. Ride 33, 50 or 62 miles in scenic Bucks County, PA. Join SCU and save $5! Accessible by public transportation - SEPTA regional-rail station at DelVal. Suburban Cyclists Unlimited (SCU)

May 15-17, 2026, Hershey Spring Cycling Weekend, Holiday Inn, Grantville, PA. Ride 15-80 miles in scenic central PA, on your own or on group rides with leaders. All-inclusive registration includes cue sheets, meals, snacks, parties, and hotel accommodations with indoor pool. Organized by Bike Tours by Linda. This event is co-hosted in partnership with the September 11 National Memorial Trail Alliance (911trail.org), and proceeds benefit the 9/11 National Trail.

Sat. May 16, 2026, Amy's Ride/Run/Walk, The Park At 4th, Quakertown, PA. Ride 24 mi or 33 mi (a shorter version of the previous 42-mi route, eliminating the two steeper climbs and the two 'sketchier' Rt. 212 crossings). Benefits pancreatic cancer research and patient support. Afterwards, stroll a few blocks to the Arts Alive Festival in downtown Quakertown.

Sat. May 16, 2026, Major Taylor Community Ride, Wilmington, DE. Ride one or more laps of the 1-mi Wilmington Grand Prix criterium race course, with a 30-minute time limit. Free, but registration is required. Part of the Wilmington Grand Prix.

Sun. May 17, 2026, Delaware Gran Fondo, Wilmington, DE. Ride 32 or 62 mi. Part of the Wilmington Grand Prix.

Sun. May 17, 2026, Governor's Ride, Wilmington, DE. Ride 15 mi with Governor Matt Meyer and other celebrity riders. Part of the Wilmington Grand Prix.

Sun. May 17, 2026, She-Bikes: Fourth Annual Ride to Support Women, Rosenhayn, NJ. Ride 10, 27, 35 or 50 mi. Benefits Salem County Women's Services.

Wed. May 20, 2026, Ride of Silence. Free event at various locations including Philadelphia. Please see the event's website for the latest list of start locations. Join cyclists worldwide in a silent slow-paced ride (max. 12 mph) in honor of those who have been injured or killed while cycling on public roadways. 7:00pm ride start, but come early for the pre-ride dedication ceremony.

May 22-25, 2026, Chestertown Weekend, Chestertown, MD. Formerly known as the Kent County Spring Fling. Ride 1, 3, or 4 days, 10-to-100 mi per day, on the scenic, low-traffic Eastern Shore. Optional meals and lodging at Washington College. Due to college policy, all riders must be age 18 or older. The Chestertown Tea Party Festival, within walking distance of Washington College, offers many non-bicycling activities for the entire family. Chestertown is only 84 mi from Philadelphia. Sun. May 31, 2026, Go The Distance For Autism, Overpeck County Park Amphitheater, Ridgefield Park, NJ. Ride 5, 15 or 50 mi, or run/walk 5k. Benefits the Alpine Learning Group, the Epic School, Garden Academy and REED Academy.

June 2026

Sun. June 7, 2026, ACS Bike-A-Thon, one-way to Ventnor, NJ, from four start locations, 20-to-100 mi. Start from Philadelphia at 6:30am, and ride across the Ben Franklin Bridge. $250 minimum fundraising; benefits the American Cancer Society.

Sat. June 13, 2026, GLJ Legacy Ride, Stockton University, Galloway, NJ. Ride 12-, 30- or 62-mi out-and-back routes on flat terrain.

Sat. June 13, 2026, Jersey Shore ALS United Ride, Morey's Adventure Pier, Wildwood, NJ. Ride 6, 16, 31 or 62 mi on flat terrain. Riders receive lunch and two complimentary passes to Morey’s Piers Amusement and Water Parks. $250 minimum fundraising. This event was previously known as the "Jersey Shore Ride to Defeat ALS". Benefits ALS United Mid-Atlantic.

Sat. June 13, 2026, Million Dollar Bike Ride, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA. Ride 10, 32, 50 or 72 mi. Benefits the Penn Medicine's Orphan Disease Center for research on rare diseases.

Sat. June 13, 2026, Revolutionary Ramble, Raritan Valley Community College, Branchburg, NJ. Ride 25-100 mi on-road, or 25- or 40-mi gravel route. Benefits the Morris Area Freewheelers Foundation.

Sat. June 13, 2026, Tour de Lebanon Valley, Lebanon, PA. Ride 32- or 62-mi on-road, or ride 6-12 mi on the Lebanon Valley Rail Trail. Benefits five non-profit organizations.

Sun. June 14, 2026, Farmland Ride, Flemington, NJ. Ride 20, 30, 45 or 62 mi through scenic Hunterdon County. Register by June 11th to receive lunch catered by Covered Bridge Italian Market. Benefits the Flemington Jewish Community Center. [Editor's comment: The Farmland Ride on June 14th, and the Farmlands Tour on Sept. 13th, are two different events with very similar names.]

Sun. June 14, 2026, French Creek Iron Tour, Kimberton Fairgrounds, Phoenixville, PA. Ride 11-100 mi on-road or two gravel courses; all routes are rolling-hilly. Benefits the French & Pickering Creeks Conservation Trust.

Sat. June 20, 2026, Juneteenth Freedom Day Ride, West Windsor Township, NJ. Ride 10, 35, 50 or 75 mi. Registration includes riders' reception at the Juneteenth Festival at the Mercer County Park Festival Grounds.

Sat. June 20, 2026, Roll Stroll & Run, Souderton, PA. Ride 10, 20, 40 or 62 mi on rolling/hilly terrain. Also 1-km walk, 5-km run/walk. Formerly known as the "Roll & Stroll". Benefits the Indian Creek Foundation.

Sat. June 27, 2026, Delaware Doublecross, Smyrna High School, Smyrna, DE. Ride one or two 31-mi loops in a figure-8 pattern on flat terrain. Ride both loops to double-cross Delaware in 62 total miles. White Clay Bicycle Club (WCBC)

Sun. June 28, 2026, Biking For Brittany, Elizabethtown, PA. Ride 32, 45 (new for 2026), or 62 mi on rolling terrain. Benefits Brittany’s Hope, a 501(c)3 non-profit, aiding abandoned children.

July 2026

Sat. July 11, 2026, New Holland Bicycle Race & Ride #2, New Holland, PA. Ride 30 or 50+ mi in scenic Lancaster County with 2,000-4,500 ft of climbing.

Sat. July 25, 2026, Spellbound Century, Mount Holly, NJ. Ride 20, 45, 63 or 100 mi. "The largest independent cycling event in NJ." TnT Cycling

Sun. July 26, 2026, Ben to the Shore Bike Tour, Philadelphia, PA, or Hammonton, NJ, to Atlantic City, NJ, one-way. Benefits Families Behind the Badge Children's Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.

August 2026

Sat. Aug. 1, 2026, Hilly Philly, Philadelphia, PA. Ride 25 mi with 2,500-ft of climbing. After-ride party with food, drinks, and raffle prizes. $40 donation to the American Cancer Society is requested.

Sat. Aug. 1, 2026, The Nightmare Tour, Reinholds, PA. This is very challenging, scenic ride around the perimeter of Lancaster County and part of Berks County. Ride 111, 177, 200, or 225 mi or 24 hrs, with 8,900 to 22,000 ft of climbing. Pre-registration a week or more in advance is mandatory. No day-of registration.

Sat. Aug. 8, 2026, Shorefire Century, Middletown High School, Middletown, DE. Ride 35, 65 or 100 mi on flat-to-gently-rolling terrain through scenic farmland in central Delaware. White Clay Bicycle Club (WCBC)

Sun. Aug. 16, 2026, Covered Bridge Classic, Lancaster County, PA. Ride 17, 31, 54, 66 or 100 mi from up to seven start locations. Very scenic routes through Amish farmlands on rolling terrain with a few hills. Benefits the Lancaster Bicycle Club’s Grant Program.

Sun. Aug. 30, 2026, Philadelphia Cycling Classic, Philadelphia, PA. The men's and women's professional races return to Philly after a 10-year hiatus. This is a major spectator event for recreational cyclists.

Sun. Aug. 30, 2026, Ramapo Rally, Campgaw Reserve, Mahwah, NJ. Choice of Six routes: 12-125 mi, through the farm and lake country of northern and western New Jersey. Some routes have shortcut options. Registration includes a free 4-month BTCNJ trial membership. Bicycle Touring Club of North Jersey

September 2026

The Jersey Devil Century, usually held in September (for 46 years!), has been Discontinued. "Sadly the 2025 Jersey Devil Century was our last." South Jersey Wheelmen

The Amish Country Bike Tour, usually held on the first Saturday after Labor Day, has been postponed to Oct. 10, 2026.

Sun. Sept. 13, 2026, Farmlands Tour, Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Manalapan, NJ. Ride 30-, 50- or 100-mi on-road, or 47- or 65-mi gravel route. This event last took place in 2022, but from a different start location. Central Jersey Bicycle Club (CJBC). [Editor's comment: The Farmland Ride on June 14th, and the Farmlands Tour on Sept. 13th, are two different events with very similar names.]

Sun. Sept. 20, 2026, #CaringForRare Cycling Event, Federal Twist Vineyard, Stockton, NJ. Ride up to 35 mi on the flat, unpaved towpaths, or ride 31 or 62 mi on-road in scenic Hunterdon and Bucks Counties. Registration includes a post-ride picnic with wine-tasting and music. Benefits Avery's Hope, providing financial assistance to rare GI disease pediatric patients.

Sun. Sept. 20, 2026, Never Forget Ride, Danielsville, PA. Ride 19, 44 or 63 mi. Benefits the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Sept. 26-27, 2026, Bike MS: City to Shore Ride, Cherry Hill, NJ. Multiple start locations; ride one or two days: 27, 40, 75, 100, 150, or 175 mi. $300 minimum fundraising. Benefits the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.

October 2026

Sat. Oct. 10, 2026, Amish Country Bike Tour, Legislative Mall, Dover, DE. Ride 16, 25, 50, 62 or 100 mi through central-Delaware's scenic and flat Amish countryside. All routes stop at the Amish Schoolhouse, where you’ll enjoy a slice of famous, locally-baked Amish pie. Bike Delaware

Sat. Oct. 10, 2026, New Holland Bicycle Race & Ride #3, New Holland, PA. Ride 30, 50+ or 82 mi in scenic Lancaster County with 2,000-6,000 ft of climbing.

Ride With GPS – Many organized events provide registered riders with links to route maps on RideWithGPS.com. Riders can review the routes in advance on their desktop/laptop computers or tablets, and while on the ride, get turn-by-turn directions on their bike GPS or phone. Free and paid plans. Some events provide registered riders with free access to the paid features for the duration of the event.

Road Bike Rider Newsletter – Road Bike Rider (RBR) is a weekly newsletter with tips, equipment reviews, and nutritional information, specifically for road bike riders. Free subscription or optional ad-free premium membership.

Bicycle Mileage Logs

Click on this link to download the SCU Universal Mileage Log. It is a Microsoft Excel-format (".XLSX") spreadsheet with 6 charts. The SCU Universal Mileage Log is good for any year. It provides automatic summation of mileage and number of rides, and it computes the average ride distance. In addition to the numeric data, the log displays six charts as shown in the photo (populated with simulated ride data in order to demonstrate the charting). Open your copy of the mileage log spreadsheet using Microsoft Excel, or any of the following free applications: Office Online, Google Sheets, Apple Numbers (free on iOS), Apache OpenOffice, LibreOffice, etc. To access your mileage log from multiple devices - including phones and tablets - store the file in the cloud; for example, in Dropbox, OneDrive, Google Drive, iCloud, etc.

This SCU Calendar lists recreational bicycle events that take place in PA, NJ and DE, and start within approximately 150 miles of Horsham, Montgomery County, PA. As of January 1, 2019, events in MD, NY and CT will no longer be listed on this calendar, even if they are within the 150-mile coverage area. All distances are listed in miles ("mi"). To convert to metric: 1 mi = 1.6 km; 1 km = 0.62 mi. 31 mi = Half Metric Century (50 km); 62 mi = Metric Century (100 km). All rides are on-road tours unless noted off-road. All events provide water stops, cue sheets, marked route, and SAG support, unless noted, but SCU is not responsible for the services provided at events on this calendar. All rides return to the starting location unless marked "one-way". Two-day events are Saturday-Sunday and three-day events are Friday-Sunday unless marked otherwise. There are no ride leaders for these events, and you ride at your own pace.

Suburban Cyclists Unlimited does not list other clubs' rides that conflict with the major SCU events (Quad County Metric and Summer Century). Commercial tours will not be listed other than from sponsors of SCU or at the discretion of the editor. Indoor "spinning" events and randonnee events will not be listed on this calendar. As of January 1, 2019, events in Maryland, New York and Connecticut will no longer be listed on this calendar. As of January 1, 2021, virtual events will no longer be listed on this calendar.

Suburban Cyclists Unlimited is a recreational bicycle club, and we do not support or promote racing. Triathlons, duathlons, amateur races, criteriums and time trials will not be listed on this website.
